NAWL’NS

I’m in New Orleans for a conference, hence the scarce posting. I decided to bypass the 12 dollar a day internet and the $1.25 dialup and use my phone as a modem, but Verizon being the bloodthirsty demon-beast that it is wants to charge me 35 bucks a month to do just that. So i opted for the 30 day trial.

Gotta love it.

Well, I heard today that the Lollapoloozer tour is canceled. Nice- after I bought tickets and my best friend from highschool already got plane tix to come out here. Sweet. Thanks tons guys. Oh well- Life goes on.

Heidi is having quite a time with the pregnancy. She’s heaving up all over the place, so any well wishing will do her wonders. I feel horrible cause I can’t be there the next few days- (hold on bunny bear, the Ed-o is gonna be home ASAP. Wuvoo!) It’s gotten so bad she is convinced that whatever is growing inside her is evil. I explained to her that in order to conceive Freddy Krueger it would technically require the union of a nun and 100 lunitics but she’s not buying it.

Send her some love via the contact link at the top right, eh?

A demon child, a demon child!

  2. M@ Says:

Ah yes…the baby stories begin. Don’t worry, it will all be over…in 8 months! Actually, the chucking stops after 3, it’s all good for 3, then it’s uncomfortable/irritable for 3…but then your bundle of joy arrives and it was all worth it!

  3. Sweet N Sassy Says:

Sorry your plans are not going as were planned. Hot and humid weather were you are but a nice place to visit. I followed your orders sir and my wishes are on there way to Heidi, she’ll feel some better when you are back to pet here but you must return with a lot of surprises.

  4. Donna Says:

My sister in law swears by the little doo-hickey you wear on your wrist that sends VERY LIGHT shocks to your pulse points to get rid of the nausea. Heidi might ask her doctor about it, they are expensive to buy but the doctor might know of a cheaper way to get one. My SIL borrowed hers from the doctor’s office and says it helped enormously. Good luck with that! It’ll all be worth it in a few months!

  5. Heidi Says:

thanks for all the encouragement everybody. once i have my hunny back to baby me i’ll feel better. I’m still convinced i’m having Freddy Kreuger though!

  6. Brum Says:

You’re up-chucking should stop after 3 months or so but then once the baby is born you get to enjoy it up-chucking all over you for the next few years! It’s awesome…

    You’ll get through it though…

  7. John Tiesi Says:

Can you bring back some authentic cajun food for me?

  8. Christy Jerz Says:

Don’t worry, you guys. I was sick with both pregnancies, and look at how sweet and innocent my kids turned out. Oh wait. Nevermind. It may be the spawn of the devil after all. Sorry.

  9. Pete Says:

The key to a happy baby: Lots and lots of nookie. Seriously. Oh, and drink lots of water. It helps.

  10. mrjerz Says:

Dude, donna, I totally thought you were trying to tell her about one of those new-age magnetic bracelet things. But thankfully, you were not, so that pretty much makes this the dumbest comment in this entire thread. Okay, I’m through.

  11. Natalie Says:

Pete thinks nookie is the cure for EVERYTHING! He once told me that it’s going to restore democracy to Iraq…I was like, “Dude, Pete, man. You can’t just go bangin’ everyone in Iraq.” He told me he could. WhatEVER.

I’d send Heidi hugs but she’d just hork on me due to the physical pressure, so, um, instead I will just wait until the morning sickness period is over and then I’ll send a lot of “hey, I’m a pregnant chick, and I want junk food” food. How’s that? :)

  12. eglis Says:

stinky, i am sending you tons of hugs. hope you feel better soon

  13. Josh C. in ABQ Says:

I just wanted to wish you both well… it’s kinda funny that this is the first I hear about Heidi being pregnant (it’s been a while since I visited) and I hear about the hurling stories. You both keep me laughing. Thanks. Well, I made it safe to ABQ and am here for the summer… learning lots about God’s grace and courage. My love and prayers are with you both… especially Heidi; knowing Ed, a Mr. Potato Head doll or a VCR will pop out after everything is finished. Keep laughing and enjoy how God has blessed.

  14. whistler Says:

Congrats to the two of you. It’s been 3 months now for us since our little one has been born. What a life changing experience. Everything changes. EVERYTHING.

As for your phone, switch to Sprint. I can hook it up to my phone and surf the net all day and it doesn’t cost me an extra cent. WOO HOO!
