I think if she had read any of the other aspects of the site, she would have realized the “gotta run” comment was in jest.

Wow! Wish I would have read “jilly’s” comment before today. She really made a lot of assumptions about Ed by one post. Too bad she doesn’t really know him. He has been the most supported father-to-be I’ve ever seen! He’s been even more excited than me at times about the baby. He’s taken care of me the last 4 months when I’ve been puking 4 times/day, can’t eat anything, can’t do the dishes, or even open the refrigerator! And not once has he complained, or even acted tired of it. I know after 4 months I’d be grumbling! In fact, he’s spoiled me! He cooks and cleans and runs to the store every time I need something. He even makes me baths, gives me foot rubs, and does whatever I want to do. (I am definitely the luckiest wife in the world!) I really can’t believe the nerve of some people. Anyone who really knows Ed, knows that on the outside he can be cynical and sarcastic, but that’s just his humor, he is the most loving person and he truly cares about people…a whole lot more than I ever could! Next time someone wants to make an assumption about my hunny, ask his wife, or even any of his close friends what kind of person he is.

My favorite part about moving so much in college is the stuff that I always end up losing. It’s like, I still have a starburst wrapper and a copy of Cat Fancy from 1997, but everytime I move I manage to lose $400 in cash, my birth certificate, and an original copy of the declaration of independence.

Some UNM bastard: “So, Shane, we’re gonna need 4 different versions of your social security card in the next 15 minutes.”

Me: “Oh….I think I left that in the little crack between the fridge and the counter about 2 years ago. Not at the place I lived before the last one, but the one before that. You know, the studio I shared with 17 people about 50 miles south of here. Let me give that place a call. I’m sure they’ll be really cooperative and helpful.”
