If you read my site via an aggregator, please update the url for the feed. The 7 of you who read my RDF feed through bloglines still access it through edandheidi.com. Please switch it to EDADKINS.com.
This will help the cause, folks.
Also, please update your blogrolls too- from edandheidi.com to edadkins.com.
Right now my stats are all screwed up since all my traffic is still coming through the old URLs.
THANKS.

Well, the big fancy site redux is done. I really dig it. If anything, it taught me just how freakin miniscule my knowlege of css was. It’s not totally done yet, so let me know if you notice anything looks wrong on your browser of choice.
Check out the swanky all-new features:
- New Photo Section
- New Category and Date Archive pages
- Cool new blogroll
- And much, much more!!!
I would never have got done without pete. He’s the man. Also thanks to Sean Bonner for giving me his opinion of the design. Oh, yeah. Special thanks to Vladimir Lennin and Dane Cook for inspiring the new look.

Since I want to be a comic someday, everyone is always asking me if I watch Last Comic Standing. It’s almost as fun as how people used to ask me if I play basketball because I’m tall.
Well I’ve now watched three episodes and I can confidently say the following:
LCS BLOWS.
Seacrest out.

Well, MT 3.11 wasn’t what you might call “installed” as much as “rammed overtop the old version”. Now it seems to be all good as far as the backend crap.
If things go all screwy from this point on it’s cause I’m gonna be messing with the look of it all. And because I’m drinking.
Ed and SoCo- your one-stop-shop for crappy redesigns.

Got back from vacation in Nuevo Mexico. Very, Very nice. Heidi and I got to just sit back and chill at this PHAT B&B where we got totally spoiled. We also saw a good friend of ours, Eglis, get married- Heidi was in the wedding and looked absolutely stunning. I nearly interrupted the whole procedings to hop the pew and ravish her right there, but luckily I kept my cool.
We also just got digital cable. Due to a promotion we get every frickin movie channel ever imagined for the next 3 months. I watched City on Fire, Blind Swordsman Zaitoichi Vol 4 and Gia last night. Basically, I’ll be very lucky to keep my life together at all durring the next 90 days.
Luckily, Heidi is doing OK, but she’s still nauseus enough that she’s stuck on the couch watching all this with me. See? TV keeps families together.
I’m an uncle again too. My sister and her husband welcomed their second boy into the world the other day and he’s incredibly cute. Congrats, Sis. You two make wonderful parrents- I hope Heidi and I can take what we’ve learned from you- he’s a lucky kid.
That’s about it. No hilarious observances or vicious rants. Consider this post E&H unplugged.

EDANDHEIDI.com will be moving down the street a bit. ‘Tis why my posts have been so few and far between as of late. I haven’t “lost the blogging bug” or anything- we just feel like it’s prime time to make a change.
What will emerge will be edadkins.com. Before you start throwing tomatoes or starting rumors that I decided to run as soon as the kid came or I succumbed to the lure of success, stuff it- kindly.
Theres a few reasons.
1. Originally this blog began in order to inform family and friends of our happenings so we didn’t have to call them as much. Well, they don’t visit the site all that often. Plus it’s become more of a creative outlet for my twisted mind.
2. Heidi doesn’t really like to blog. Every once and a while she pops in with something, but it’s really not her thing.
3. As I focus more on other creative projects I want to showcase them here and “build a personal brand” if you will. There’s an internet comic down the pike, as well as some short movies I would like to showcase.
4. Also, I want to be a rich and famous comedian, and all the cool ones have their name as their domain.
5. This gives Heidi a bit of anonymity- and web distance from me. That’s good since I tend to rub people the wrong way every once and a while. That’s not really her personality so I figure why have her look responsible.
6. I decided I better run since the kid is on the way and the allure of fame was far too much to handle.
So I hope this clears it up, and please follow us to the new site in a couple weeks. ‘Till then I’ll be lite on the posting and heavy on the planning and coding. Just go to the “greatest hits” category and laugh at how I piss people off or how much I hate it when people talk in movies.
See you soon.

I’m in New Orleans for a conference, hence the scarce posting. I decided to bypass the 12 dollar a day internet and the $1.25 dialup and use my phone as a modem, but Verizon being the bloodthirsty demon-beast that it is wants to charge me 35 bucks a month to do just that. So i opted for the 30 day trial.
Gotta love it.
Well, I heard today that the Lollapoloozer tour is canceled. Nice- after I bought tickets and my best friend from highschool already got plane tix to come out here. Sweet. Thanks tons guys. Oh well- Life goes on.
Heidi is having quite a time with the pregnancy. She’s heaving up all over the place, so any well wishing will do her wonders. I feel horrible cause I can’t be there the next few days- (hold on bunny bear, the Ed-o is gonna be home ASAP. Wuvoo!) It’s gotten so bad she is convinced that whatever is growing inside her is evil. I explained to her that in order to conceive Freddy Krueger it would technically require the union of a nun and 100 lunitics but she’s not buying it.
Send her some love via the contact link at the top right, eh?

E&H.com is one year old today. From our humble beginnings we have grown into a dominating multinational corporation with a global presence that casts a dark shadow across most of the worlds’ population- prying into the individual lives of our subjects and controlling their every move and thought, bilking the denizens of society of their hard-earned yet pitiful salaries and churning out worthless crap and services with no meaningful competition on the horizon.
And we have you to thank.
Without you we would have no power.
Well, that’s enough for celebration- back to global domination and an early lunch break.
Oh, and Jason is oficically old today. Wish him a happy birthday before he breaks a hip or something.

Froggie is dead. I repeat Froggie the Frog is dead. He was found last night floating in his bowl which he shares with one “Fishie” Beta Fish. Authorities haven’t yet released his official cause of death, but aren’t ruling out foul play. Services were held yesterday in my bathroom at 8:35 PM, just before flushing him into the great beyond. Fishie, his nearest relative, (since the rest of his family has been long since sold into the Greater Reno population) will be accepting gifts and well wishes on behalf of the family. He is visably shaken but reported to be holding up well. The dedicated news team here at EDANDHEIDI.com will keep you posted as this saddening situation develops.

George is here. That can only mean one thing- we’ve souped up the digs here at EDANDHEIDI. There are a few things you may notice. First, we did away with the poll. The novelty had worn off, but luckily it got to go out with a bang (with a capital BEE). That was awful. Also, we now have a message for first time blog viewers, a contact popup, and a FAQs section. Fancy, eh? BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! You can now purchase EDANDHEIDI.com crap. Wohoo. But its way too late for me to be up. Hope you like.

And all I can say is:
- I am so glad to be home
- Ice Cube’s Momma didnt raise no fool
- Look for a couple of changes to the site early 2004
- There is no reason I should have made it thru finals
- I’m real sorry for not posting
I love family, and Heidi’s family was a blast. Endless amounts of material for future postings. A household of mostly women is louder than a Nascar race- that is now confirmed. Flew with Ice Cube and a whole gaggle of rappers out of Albuquerque today- and no, I have no great stories about me and Cube chumming it up over the old days growing up in Compton, riding big-wheels and making crank calls to old man Flannagan. There weren’t any two seats open near him and I wasn’t about to split up from the wifey- not for Cube or anyone.
But, it does tell us that Mr. Cube isn’t wastin’ his bling on first class luxury airlines- he was flying Southwest. Good choice, Cubert. BTW, I somehow scored a B and a B+ in my MBA classes this semester- I have no idea how, so don’t ask me. This was my worst semester ever since I started college way back in Nineteen ought something or other. Anyway, we’re real broken up over letting our readers down over the holidays. I was planning on coming up with this great story about how my plan to post was foiled by Crazed-Atkins-Dieting-PBS-Pirating-Uber-TeleMarketers, but I decided this post was far too long with very little substance already.
In Addition, any suggestions on how we can improve the site?

One of my life’s goals is to create one of those pics that circulate (domo-kun) around the (domo-kun) internet until you’re sick (domo-kun) of them. Reach the stars, I always say. So yesterday I made that Saddam/Jacco pic and sent it around. Whoa. Dave barry linked it and the guys at b3ta dug it too. Me so happy. Hmmm, somebody oughta do a Saddam/Domo-kun… If only i didn’t have finals today.
Spanking, er, speaking of finals, they’re really doing a number on me. I have a huge one tonite and have to turn in a big old project too. Wish me luck. Also, given that our readership has skyrocketed to, say, seven-TEEN people, the pressure’s on to write some quality funny. Gimme a minute to come up with something.

Since I have almost no time, and since Yahoo gives us unlimited space on their server, AND since you can order prints directly from the Yahoo photos page, I gave up the idea of ever fixing our old photo gallery. You should have no problem seeing, downloading or ordering photos from EDANDHEIDI.com any longer. Enjoy. (go ahead, give it a whirl)
