Tom Green is right, bloggers are losers. Don’t bloggers have something better to do with their time? Smoke some weed, watch some hockey, bang some chick in the neighborhood. I see that you’re married with a kid which means you have no life anymore, so I can understand having a blog.

Do yourself a favor, ditch the wife and kid. Don’t worry, all men leave eventually, once they grow their testes back. Find a few chicks about 10 years younger (their stupid and will do anything you say). Have a different one everynight and you’ll live a very happy life.

I think Green may have been commenting on the general quality of blogs /hosted/ on a home computer, not /updated/ via a home computer.

Still, rather tilting at windmills, isn’t it? Given the quality and ubiquitousness of blog-hosting services, I’d almost rather see a truly personal website hosting a blog.

Rebutting that bloggers have “heart” and “honesty” sort of made me squirm, however. I’ve seen no evidence that bloggers, as a population, are more hearty or honest than anyone else. Given that blogging is a world-wide phenomenon, I’m not sure what country they built!

That phrase always makes me think of the terrible Starship song (”We Built this City”) — but only as sung by Homer Simpson.

Of course, the bottom line is that Green is just as deserving of being able to vent his poorly reasoned opinions on his own website. Just like the rest of us.
